AMA Fight Club Run’s Wild:

AMA Fight Club had 6 fighters in action over the weekend. Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman ran his record to 9-1 with a unanimous decision victory over Mitch Whitesel at The Valley Fight League MMA show in Pennsylvania. Brenneman dominated the bout after dropping Whitesel to the mat in each of the three rounds.

Congratulations to Sean "$horty Rock" Santella and Chris Jones for their dominating wins in Erie, PA on the EFC (Extreme Fight Club) card.
Chris Jones making his amateur MMA debut started the night off landing a big right cross to stun his opponent leading into a Muay Thai clinch with Jonesy landing some knees. Jonesy slipped on the ring canvas with his opponent landing in his closed guard and then made quick work by throwing up a triangle with his opponent tapping soon after finishing the fight at 1:38 seconds into the very first round. Sean "$horty Rock" Santella 4-2-1 fighting at a catch weight of 140lbs looked to be the much smaller of the two weighing in at 137 lbs while his opponent cut from 160lbs. The weight didn't seem to bother $horty doing what he does best taking the fight to the mat. After his opponent defended off a go-go plata, oma plata attempt, $horty slapped on a wicked arm bar. After numerous slams and elbow strikes $horty transitioned into a triangle choke, choking his opponent out 4:46 seconds into the first round.

In Muay Thai action Kevin Guidicipietro notched a big unanimous decision victory in dominating fashion despite suffering multiple illegal groin shots. Kevin maintained his composure to secure the big victory. Nick Avalos lost a hard fought split decision that left everyone in attendance including his opponent shaking their heads in disbelief at the judge’s decision. Nick brought the crowd into a frenzy with a hard Thai kick to the ribs and controlled much of the fight by utilizing a strong clinch game.

Chris Dupars after taking a fight on 3 weeks notice with over 20 pounds to lose lost a narrow split decision in a fight that could have gone either way. Chris earned respect from all of his coaches and teammates for taking the fight on such short notice with all that weight to lose & still putting forth a great performance.

Congratulations to all AMA Fight Club Fighters on a job well done!!!
