After a 10 second KO victory in his last amateur bout in 2008, Andy jumped into the pro circuit in April of 2009 and won with a big KO victory at 3:58 of the first round. He added three more consecutive wins to his record with two submissions and a decision before suffering his first loss in February of 2010 by a close decision. At only 21 years old, Andy has an exciting career ahead of him.

    UFC 117

Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman took on undefeated UFC star Johny Hendricks in what was an action packed fight from start to finish. “The Spaniard” used superior wrestling and crisp striking to control the first round and won it on the judges score cards. In the second round, the heavy handed Hendricks caught Charlie with a hook punch and despite “The Spaniard” not quitting and continuing to fight, the bout was stopped by the ref. It was a great showing by Charlie, unfortunately he just got caught. Congratulations to Johny and we will all be rooting for him throughout his UFC career.

Sean hit Brett with an overhand right and went right in for a takedown. Sean immediately passed into side control where he had both of Brett’s arms trapped in a crucifix position and was dropping elbows.  It was then that this talented fighter transitioned into a triangle choke to finish off his opponent and run his pro record to 5-1 and bring another belt home to the AMA Fight Club! Congratulations Sean and we are all very proud of you!

Ring of Combat Recap & Results

Medrano wins by submission, Andy Main lost a tough decision and Adam Fearon was absolutely robbed!!!

Mike Medrano making his debut fighting for AMA Fight Club fought a great fight in an absolute slugfest that saw both fighters trading huge blows. Medrano took an illegal knee to the face and his opponent Jose Viera was deducted a point for the illegal blow. This only fueled “Muscle Mike” as he came out in the third round and continued the slugfest then shot in and took Viera down. After a scramble, Mike snatched up a guillotine to win by submission in what earlier was a slugfest. Congratulations to Mike Medrano on a great victory!

Andy Main in what was called the “Fight of the Night” lost a hard fought decision to Kurt Pellegrino MMA student Lester Caslow. In the first round both fighters traded kicks for about 4 minutes until one of Lester’s punches snuck through and Lester won round one. In the second round Andy came out and did what he does best, takedown, pass the guard, and during a scramble, take the back and once there Andy went for several rear naked chokes however Lester was able to stave off the attack. Andy won the round decisively to even the fight at 1 round apiece. In the third round Andy took Lester down and started with a little ground and pound against the cage. During a scramble Lester reversed Andy and ended up on top. Lester wound up winning the third round and the fight in what was an excellent fight. Congratulations to Lester on a great fight and victory.

Adam won and then lost if that makes any sense in what was the absolute biggest referee blunder I have ever witnessed in my entire career. Adam came out swinging and after a couple of exchanges Adam had his opponent Craig Thieme pinned up against the cage and then slapped on a nasty standing guillotine. The referee rushed in to separate the fighters and pulled Adam off of Thieme and then waived his hands above his head stopping the fight. We were 2 minutes into celebrating the victory when we were alerted the referee “made a mistake” and didn’t really stop the fight……WHAT??? Needless to say we were shocked and long story short Thieme won a decision. It was absolute B.S. – Adam gassed on the guillotine submission and gave it all he had to finish. After celebrating a victory and all of the adrenaline rush that came with it, he had to restart the fight he just won. It was way too much to ask for and overcome and he was flat out robbed.

Here are some behind the scenes Video footage from Ring of Combat, ENJOY!!!
